All lessons are given in 1000 sq.ft. teaching studio that
is fully carpeted, warm and completely private. Fresh filter
coffee is always available.
In warmer weather the front of the studio can be opened
completely so the shots can be hit onto the 250-yard driving
range.
The lesson begins with a discussion of the golfer's ambitions
and how to achieve them.
Complete beginners are shown why the different clubs produce
different types of shots, how to hold the club and how to
address the ball.
The
stance and posture represents 75% of the shot. When this
has been learnt the beginner is shown the basics of the
swing at a paceat which the pupil can absorb the information.
Golfers who have already played are asked to hit some shots.
Their swing is filmed from two angles before being replayed
through a computer and analysed.
The
computer also stores the first swings for future reference.
There
is no 'paralysis by analysis' as only one aspect of the
swing is discussed at any given time and lessons proceed
at a pace which suits the pupil.
All
the advice given is practical and based on facts rather
than theories.
After
each lesson a report is given to the pupil to keep. This
report will contain a synopsis of the lesson and practical
suggestions on how to practice what has been learnt in the
lesson.
Every lesson is retained on the computer to ensure a professional
continuity.
The Gasp Advanced Coaching System is used and the entire
lesson can be recorded on a VCR tape and/or a D.V.D (-r).
A radio microphone ensures there is full sound on the recording.
