Farrington

17th Hole - Main Course designed by Peter Thompson
In
1990 I became the proprietor of Farrington Golf Club in
Somerset.
At
Farrington Golf Club I taught the Somerset County Golf Squad
from 1996 to 1999.
One
of the star players from the squad was John Morgan, now
a successful tour professional.
Stuart
Martin and David Dixon are also now professionals.
Lee
Corfield was the losing finalist in the 2004 Amateur Championship.
My
attention to detail meant I planned the entire day for the
Somerset squad and every lesson was recorded in my files.
This resulted in the squad winning the South West Team Trophy
for the first time since 1964.

Two
of my former pupils Adrian Bishop and Jon Cowgill are now
the Somerset County Golf Union Coaches.
Gary

300 lessons over the last 14 years his success is legendary.
His
handicap during this period went from + 1 to + 5 Gary is
now the most accomplished English Amateur of all time.
At
Farrington Golf Club I also taught juniors for the Golf
Foundation Merit Award Scheme.
Other
pupils included:
Justin
