How the system works

"I first went to see Peter in 2001 when my handicap was 20. He immediately spotted a number of flaws in my 'unique' golf swing and used his digital golf analysis system to explain how I could improve. Between lessons I was able to watch the video (now DVD) of the previous lesson and listen to Peter's helpful commentary. This allowed me to consolidate the key learning points. I also used the practice drills Peter had shown me. The most valuable training aid I bought was a full-length mirror which allowed me to SEE the difference Peter wanted me to make in my swing. For me, these visual cues were very powerful.

Peter's technique is based on fundamental principles which I keep in my head whether I'm on the driving range or playing in a match. Often on the tee, I will remember the mantra 'GASP' - Grip, Aim, Stance, Posture. If I get these four things right before I've even swung the club, the chances are the shot will be OK.

Peter's method really works. Five years on, my handicap is now 9. I am sure I would not have reached single figures without Peter's help."  - Rachel McAlpine

"I had my first golf lesson with Peter Thompson in March 2001. As a rookie golfer with a handicap of 25, he has guided me through the minefield of myths and misconceptions that embrace this magical but frustrating game.

Over the past 5 years he has reduced my playing handicap to 16, a testimony to his patience and teaching methods. His philosophy is simple; a correct and consistent swing will bring the results that we all seek.

His love of the game, together with his powers of analysis has produced a teacher who is committed to the individual student, of any ability and any age. His understanding of the GASP system is second to none and his tenacity and consistency of approach make the game accessible to all."  - Di Groombridge
